Vecherny Bishkek

Vecherniy Bishkek is a daily Russian language newspaper published in Kyrgyzstan. Founded in 1974, it was known as Vecherniy Frunze since 1991. It was established as a newspaper of the Frunze City Committee of the Communist Party of Kirghizia.


Kabar or Kyrgyz National News Agency Kabar is the official news agency of Kyrgyzstan. It is the oldest news agency in the country.

Kyrgyz tuusu is the oldest Kyrgyz language newspaper in Kyrgyzstan. It was first published as Erkin Too in Tashkent on November 7, 1924. From August 1927 it was known as Kyzyl Kyrgyzstan, and from 1956 – Sovettik Kyrgyzstan. The newspaper received its current name in 1991.
