Le Monde is a French daily afternoon newspaper. It is the main publication of Le Monde Group and reported an average circulation of 323,039 copies per issue in 2009, about 40,000 of which were sold abroad.


L’Humanité is a French daily newspaper. It was previously an organ of the French Communist Party and maintains links to the party. Its slogan is “In an ideal world, L’Humanité would not exist.”

20 minutes is a free, daily newspaper aimed at commuters in France. It is published by Schibsted and Ouest France Group. 20 minutes, the Spanish version, is distributed by Schibsted and Zeta in Spain.

Les Échos

Les Echos is the first daily French financial newspaper, founded in 1908 by the brothers Robert and Émile Servan-Schreiber. It is the main competitor of La Tribune, a rival financial paper.
