Apple Daily is a Hong Kong tabloid-style newspaper founded in 1995 by Jimmy Lai. Along with entertainment magazine Next Magazine, Apple Daily is part of Next Digital. The paper publishes print and digital editions in Chinese, as well as a digital-only English edition.

Oriental Daily News (Chinese: 東方日報)

Oriental Daily News is a Chinese-language newspaper in Hong Kong. It was established in 1969 by Ma Sik-yu and Ma Sik-Chun and was one of the two newspapers published by the Oriental Press Group Limited. Relative to other Hong Kong newspapers, Oriental Daily News has an older readership.

Headline Daily (Chinese: 頭條日報)

Headline Daily was launched on 12 July 2005, by Sing Tao Newspaper Group Limited and became the second free Chinese-language newspaper published officially in Hong Kong. The paper is only distributed on weekdays and is aimed at the working class.

Sing Tao (Chinese: 星島日報

The Sing Tao Daily is also known as Sing Tao Jih Pao is Hong Kong’s oldest and second-largest Chinese language newspaper. It is owned by Sing Tao News Corporation, of which Charles Ho Tsu Kwok is chairman. Its English language sister paper is The Standard. Sing Tao also maintains the news website singtao.com.

Hong Kong Economic Journal (Chinese: 信報財經新聞)

The Hong Kong Economic Journal. is a Chinese language daily newspaper published in Hong Kong by the Shun Po Co., Ltd.. Available in both Hong Kong and Macau, the newspaper mainly focuses on economic news and other related, usually political issues.

Sun (Chinese: 太阳报)

The Sun was one of the newspapers in Hong Kong, first published in March 1999. It belonged to the Oriental Press Group Limited. The paper ceased publication in April 2016. There was also an electronic version of The Sun on the Internet. Both the newspaper and the electronic version were written in traditional Chinese.

The Standard (In English)

The Standard is an English-free newspaper in Hong Kong with a daily circulation of 200,450 in 2012. It was formerly called the Hong Kong Standard and changed to HKiMail during the Internet boom but reverted to The Standard in 2001. The South China Morning Post is its main local competitor.
